I would like to say I have an ultimate career goal in mind, but really I have several — director or instructor to name a couple. Regardless of my career path, I see myself in a career that involves technology in some manner and is customer focused. In every position I’ve held I’ve looked at ways to advance the goals of the department as well as pursue opportunities to advance my professional development.
Since writing the above paragraph I have had the honor and pleasure to be an Adjunct Instructor. In that role I taught students the basics of HTML and CSS incorporating real world examples into the curriculum. It was a thrilling experience that I will treasure.
I thrive on learning new things and I feel fortunate that my career path has allowed me the opportunity to do so. I have learned and/or expanded my knowledge in several areas. Among those are:
- Systems Administration
- Linux
- Windows
- Apache
- IIS
- Databases
- MSSql
- MySQL
- PostgreSQL
- Web Development
- HTML
- CSS
- JavaScript
- PHP
- ASP
- ColdFusion
- PERL
- Java
- JQuery
In addition to the technical side of things I have experience in working with various software platforms and software applications. I feel confident in saying that I can learn anything needed to complete a task since that has been the case over the course of my career.
